Fall is here, and many organizations have had to come to terms with the fact that remote work and various other working arrangements are still the way to go for the foreseeable future. I hope you’ve been able to draw on the experiences from the past spring and summer to find the groove and navigate the challenging circumstances. In the September edition of FutuConnect, we’re proud to highlight Meltlake, the latest addition to the Futurice family of companies. Among other things, we’ll also share our recent points-of-view, one of which focuses on the mobility industry, and the other on emerging technologies that are likely to impact the way business is done in the future.

Review sessions – or critiques, as they are known in the biz – are an important part of design work. But being forced into remote working mode makes things trickier across the board and rules out several trusty tools typically used in critique sessions, such as printouts and post-it notes. In his blog post, our Senior Designer Pekka Puhakka shares some useful guidelines to make it easier to adapt to the remote setup and get the most out of critique sessions under the current circumstances.
